As I read this, my neighborhood is covered in a blanket of smoke and this morning the sun burned blood red until it disappeard behind the curtain of smoke that blankets the valley. The neighborhood where I grew up has been evacuated and I got a notice on my phone saying my area had moved from evacuation level 1 to level 2. State resources are stretched to the max and only a few wildfires have been contained. So, you see, besides the other topics you have addressed in your essay, quite literally, where I live, the world is burning up. I live in the soggy NW. Climate change? Who believes in that?
