I have just started walking in a state park that is just across the river from where I live. I have driven past it several times on my commute, but, never really explored it before. It is a small park, yet, there are old-growth Doug Fir and Cedar trees there. It is mainly for the exercise, but, I have found a hand-hewn bench unlike the pre-fabricated benches in the rest of the park. It is on a trail, at a switchback overlooking a gulch with a small stream. The gulch is lined with ferns and is a peaceful spot. It is a good place for contemplation. I have been having strange dreams lately, as well, but, my analytical side says it’s due to stress and fatigue. I should probably tune into the mystery more.
