I love this post. It reminds me of how blessed my childhood was. I grew up in a rural community and many days were spent with small adventures by the creek and woods. Days of playing Robin Hood, Superheroes and Star Trek. Finding abandoned bird nests, capturing crawdads and salamanders and then just as easily letting them go; affirming learning a reverence for life. Perhaps, the signpost that this childhood innocense was coming to a close was the day that me and a buddy found a deck of playmate cards up in a treehouse.

“Didn’t I come to bring you a sense of wonder

Didn’t I come to lift your fiery vision bright

Didn’t I come to bring you a sense of wonder in the flame.”~ Van Morrison, “A Sense of Wonder”.
