I remember a friend and I wired our walkie talkies to antennas and would talk on the Citizen Band skirting the law by not having a CB license and made-up handles. I forget what mine was. I went to college when the internet was still going through birthing pains and the only thing you could post was text. Once I even took a calligraphy class from an apprentice of Lloyd J. Reynolds, whose class Steve Jobs would sneek into and Apple’s font owes much to his sense of design and style. Probably about the time Jobs started tinkering with computers, I was hawking ‘Underground Newspapers’ in my high school cafeteria, (I was born the same year as Jobs).
