The desire and dream of a Utopia can be traced back to Plato’s “Republic”. In the mid 1800’s there was a Utopian movement in the U.S. by the “Trancendentalists” and in 1975 Ernest Callenbach released his book, “Ecotopia”, petitioning for an environmentally conscious secession of the west coast from the rest of the U.S. For every push into this idealist vision, there is a pull back by those who hold the coffers of power. I am not ridiculing your vision, but, Big Money and Big Power doesn’t embrace the same dream. It isn’t something that is in control of the general population. That is reality.
