There are various symbols on different platforms that denote the same meaning- that you appreciate something, whether that symbol is a “clap”, a thumbs up, a ‘V’ sign, or what have you. On the issue of multiplication, an image of three claps makes me hark back to the Sally Fields Academy Awards acceptance speech, “You like me, right now, you really like me”. I would actually prefer stars, over claps, but, that’s just me.
