There is a lot of food for thought here. I had to jump through a lot of hoops just to get the Medium partner program to even work for me at all. It probably took about a month of back and forth between the Medium help desk and me to even get one red cent from it. I kind of see it as a rebate on my subscription fee. It has never amounted to more than that. When I started writing on Medium, none of my stories were “locked”. My views actually increased when I became able to lock them.
